TED talk

The Ted talk i just watched made me realize a lot of things. I completely agree that kids are underestimated and should be able to do more than they do and should be able to be allowed to do things that they aren't. I think that adults these days are trying to have too much control over their children and that children should be able to make rules too. I also agree that students shouldn't just learn from their teachers but teachers should learn from their students too because oftentimes students have good points to add.  Children aren't taking seriously over certain matters sometimes that they should be taken seriously over and adults need to realize more that students are the next generation and need to be taken very seriously in everything we do.

Best Friend Ad

Looking for Best Friend

I am looking for a best friend. However this person must display many worthy qualities that one would look for in a friend. Some qualities include kind, loyal, funny, and dependable.These qualities are all very important when looking for a friend because the friend must be kind not only to you but to everyone else. Also i want a friend that is loyal to me and wont go talk about me with other people and they also have to be trustworthy.In addition to these qualities my friend also must be funny because i like people that make me laugh and that don't bore me. Also my friend must be dependable because i want to be able to count on them and go to them whenever i need help with something. My friend must be trustworthy because i want to be able to trust them with everything.

The T.V.

It may be heard to believe but being a T.V. is actually rather difficult. Day in and day out people are always constantly turning me on and off, changing my channels and making me talk louder or softer. Because of this i am very tired all the time and oftentimes get no sleep because people are watching me for hours on end. Also i feel like people are watching me at all times and i get no alone time at all. However being a T.V. can also be relaxing because you never feel the need to get up and move somewhere else unless your being replaced and when your owners are busy and have no time to use you, you can get your rest. Believe it or not being a T.V. is a hard task.

Enthusiasm

Oftentimes learning can be boring when you have to listen to your teacher talk the whole class or do something such as take notes the whole time. However learning can be fun if children are enthusiastic about it. in order to make children enthusiastic about it the teacher must make learning interactive instead of listening tot he teacher the whole time. Also the teacher should use visual learning so students don't get bored with notes. By making learning more visual and interactive, students begin to like learning because they don't become as bored and because students aren't as bored they begin to learn even more and get more out of it than they would if they were listening to their teacher or taking notes the whole time

Courage

One situation when i needed to have a lot of courage was freshman year in the spring when i decided to tryout for lacrosse. During the winter i decided to play lacrosse because all of my friends were, but the only problem was i had never played before. When tryouts came in the spring i was nervous but i also knew what i was doing was very courageous. I knew it was courageous because i was going up against people that had been playing lacrosse for years. However i stuck with it ad ended up making the team. Thinking back on trouts freshman year proves to me that i was very courageous because i went out and did something that i had never done before and i didn't back down.
